A Unique Training Facility Specializing
in the matching of each horse
to the perfect human partner
With a Native American Indian as my mentor, and my own unique gift to communicate with both domestic and wild animals, I teach horses and humans the importance of each individual - reaching within themselves to see their abilities - guiding them to achieve and practice these qualities to their highest. Using my techniques I am able to attain positive results matching horses to the best human partner. Under my watchful eye and with my guidance, both horse and rider learn communication, to achieve each individual’s goals and practice the importance of building, bonding, and creating a lasting relationship between horse and rider. Each horse and rider is fitted with his or her own equipment, as this too is an essential part of the process. Properly fitted equipment relieves the discomfort to both horse and rider, thus complete cooperation and concentration are on the lesson at hand.
My forte is a gentle teaching technique only moving forward at the horse or rider’s own pace, with safety in mind at all times. The final result is that your horse wants to be with you and perform the tasks you request with great pride, dancing together as a team!
The scope of my work is based on the above outline, whether I am introduced to an under or over confident rider, a young colt, a wild horse, re-training a mixed-up horse, or refinement for the show ring. Testimonials Page
Many equine issues are a result of poor communication between horse and rider, including mixed requests, disrespect, rearing, bucking, kicking, not standing for mount and dismount, improper fit of bits, saddles, unnatural devices, and high on the list is asking a horse to perform a task that they are not naturally able to do. Horses are not born with bad habits or attributes, they evolve from the environment they are subject to.
When purchasing a certain breed - including all breeds - it does not necessarily mean that your horse will perform as that breed's protocol suggests. Often the horse is perfect --IT IS THE RIDER CAUSING THE PROBLEM! A novice rider can actually ruin a horse's performance, including the gait by an unbalanced and improper seat, not using the properly fitted equipment, all of which ultimately send mixed messages, causing the horse to falter loosing it's balance, tripping, leading the rider to believe there is something wrong with the horse. It is of the ultimate importance that the rider and horse seek training to achieve a great ride together with positive and lasting results. With patience and support for the good qualities in each animal, the result is a wonderful lifetime of love and respect for each other.
